Andrew James Abraham, Architect, AIA
AJA Studio, PC: As a registered Colorado Architect with offices in Denver + Edwards, I have completed projects from Vermont to Washington. Before moving to Colorado, I traveled the United States working with Architects & Interior Designers in Atlanta, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Martha's Vineyard, & New Haven, studying the designs of each region.
After receiving Architecture degrees from Yale University + the University of Cincinnati, I wandered the states working under the name of Nomad Design. I moved to Colorado in January 1994 and the following year designed and built my father's home with him in Grand Junction.
Having gained valuable experience working with a few good design firms in the Vail Valley and with projects ranging from affordable housing to high-end residences, I opened my first office, AJA Studio: Edwards in 2001 and then AJA Studio: Denver in 2007. I currently split time between City + Mountains.
When I'm not practicing architecture, sketching in coffee shops, or making models (virtual or otherwise), you might find me backpacking, snowboarding, traveling, cooking, landscaping, or working on my 1906 Victorian renovation + (future) addition.
Having recently hiked the Colorado Trail (485 miles from Denver to Durango), my upcoming adventures include hiking the John Muir Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail (a 2650 mile trek from Mexico to Canada through California, Oregon, + Washington), visiting more architectural landmarks, + getting my LEED certification.
